Q. I can't login my username and password don't work. What should I do?
A. The username and password system is case sensitive, which means "LukeGabriel" is not the same as "lukegabriel". Make sure your type your username and password exactly as they appear.
Q. I know how to save and image and get it to my hard drive, but how do I get it to show up in my e-mails so I can send it to my friends?

Q. I can save the .gif art (animation), but it's not moving once I save it. What am I doing wrong?
A. You need to view the animation in your Web browser to see it moving. Your Web browser is either Internet Explorer or Netscape, it is the program you use to view Web pages. Make sure you also save the image as a .gif.
Q. When I try and save an image it only allows me to save it as .BMP, why?
A.This is a common problem that happens to everyone using Internet Explorer. It's also very easy to fix, just takes a couple minutes usually. What you need to do is delete all the temporary internet files. Here's how to do it...
...Deleting your temporary internet files.
1) Click Tools on the top of your browser menu
2) Click Internet Options...
3) Click Delete Files... from the Temporary Internet Files section.
5) Wait for for your computer to delete all files, it may take 1-10 minutes.
6) Once that's done close all browser windows.
7) Open a new browser window and try to save any image.
8) You're done, repeat these steps if this problem happens again.
Q. When I save a .gif file using AOL I get a .art file. How can I make it a .gif file?
A. When you save a graphic on the internet, your AOL browser compresses in to an .ART format. Only your AOL browser can view .ART images (that I know of). Try to "Turn the compression feature off." Or better yet install the full version of Internet Explorer.
The basic steps to turn off image compression in AOL. Some versions may vary in method.
1) Click My AOL or Member Preferences
2) Click Set Up Now
3) Click Preference Guide
5) Click Set Up Now
6) Click The Web or AOL Internet Properties
7) Click Web Graphics.
8) Click to remove the check from Use Compressed Graphics
.... (In some versions click to put a check by Use Uncompressed Graphics )
9) Click Save or Apply
Q. I have an image that I got from you but when I use it on my Web page it has a blue border around it. How can I get that border off?
A. That border is controled by the BORDER tag within the IMG SRC code. Change it to BORDER=0 and that will make the border disappear.
Q. Your graphics look great if I use something how do I link?
A. We have images and instructions for linking to Graphics Factory posted here.
Q. What software do you guys use to create your site with? What graphics
programs and HTML editors?
A. We use PhotoShop by Adobe to create most of our images and use Homesite by Macromedia to put or Web pages together. For the 3D animations we use LightWave by NewTek.
Q. I am sorry, I don't mean to bother you or anything, but I have a
question. I have a web page of my own and I was wondering how to make
the background that is found on your page with the graphic on just the
side of your page. Your help would be very appreciated.
A. OK, to make a side background you start by creating a 150 pixel high and 1300 pixel wide image. Then place what ever image you want to tile on the left side. It is easiest to use a solid color.
You can experiment with different widths for the image or color you use, 150 pixels high seems to work well.
Save the image and place it on your page via the BODY tag.
That is a quick simple tip, but should get the job done.
